  Bio

Olamide Samuel Adedipe is a Calgary-based trained visual artist, nature lover, and environmentalist whose work is dedicated to addressing the pressing issues of animal conservation, sustainability, and environmental degradation. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Olamide seeks to create art that not only reflects the beauty and diversity of nature but also raises awareness about the urgent need to protect endangered species and preserve fragile ecosystems. Through his work, Olamide strives to give a voice to the animals and ecosystems that are threatened by human activity, fostering a sense of empathy and urgency in the viewer.

Olamide uses a range of mediums — from painting  to upcycled art and mixed media — to communicate the delicate balance between humans and the environment. Each piece is crafted with the intent to provoke thought and action, encouraging viewers to consider the impact of their everyday choices on the planet.

Artist Statement

As an artist, I strive to capture the delicate and urgent relationship between humanity and the natural world. My work is rooted in the belief that art has the power to inspire change, raise awareness, and foster a deeper understanding of the environmental crises we face today. Through my pieces, I explore themes of animal conservation, sustainability, and the intricate interconnection between all living beings.

I use a variety of mediums to communicate the fragility of our ecosystems, drawing attention to endangered species, the destruction of habitats, and the broader consequences of human activity. Each piece is an invitation to pause and reflect on the impact of our choices on the planet. At the heart of my work is a sense of hope — hope that through collective action, we can still reverse the course of environmental degradation.

My art is not just a call to awareness, but a call to action. It is a visual testament to the urgency of protecting our wildlife and natural habitats, and a reminder that we, as stewards of this Earth, are responsible for ensuring a future where both the environment and its inhabitants can thrive. Through my art, I hope to spark conversation, inspire change, and contribute to the movement toward a more sustainable and compassionate world.
